Our grandson turned 18 and is interested in getting a pilot's license so we took him to Right Rudder for a Discovery Flight. It was a great experience. Tommy, his instructor was phenomenal! During the 2 hour experience. Tommy provided a detailed rundown on the plane and then they took flight. After the flight Tommy explained the process to get a pilot's license and next steps. My grandson had a great flight and loved the entire experience.

Wow, these guys are not only incredibly experienced but also amazing hosts. I called Andy the day before passing through the area to arrange some instruction in a Pipistrel Alpha Trainer. He dropped everything to make arrangements and offered to meet me at the airport at 0630 to accommodate my schedule.
I ended up flying with Tommy who is one of the best instructors I’ve ever flown with. His knowledge of the aircraft and its unique flight characteristics is unparalleled. I had previously received five hours of dual instruction from another school, but Tommy took it to the next level. He took the time to give a thorough preflight inspection while we waited on weather before sharing an incredible experience in their glider version of the Pipistrel Alpha Trainer.
While I was not flying, I was able to use their conference room and Wi-Fi to get some work done as well. Good people and facilities.

So impressed with the awesome staff at Right Rudder!
The A+P mechanic Matt absolutely saved the day by identifying an unconnected alternator wire that had caused major damage to the electrical system of my Cirrus aircraft! Without his keen eye for detail my flight home may not have ended well!

This is downright the best flight school in the country. After multiple flight schools, I walked in November 28th to right rudder, several hours into training, but no clear end in sight. I met Tommy Soto, who advised me he was well versed with the sport pilot curriculum, my goal(sport pilots license) and could get me across the finish line. Logistically I am a hard customer to train, living over 2 hours away and only being able to train on weekends. Tommy advised me he could help. I took the leap of faith, and started training the next weekend. I figured from previous instruction that I had several months ahead of me. Tommy is not your run of the pilot that you are building hours for, he is a true educator and is efficient in finding and quickly correcting what needs work. In less than 2 months in a new aircraft I have passed a sport pilot check ride. I was asked during the exam why I drive so far, I answered good instruction is worth the drive, I would drive 10 hours to train with this organization, they have it down to a science, and affordability that anyone with any schedule can do it. I cannot recommend Tommy and all of RRA enough, true professionals, stuck and rudder purists, and welcoming to anyone that just wants to fly!

My bucket list goal was to achieve my private pilot licence even though I was starting late in my retirement life. Thanks to the instructors at Right Rudder in Inverness, I passed my check ride at age 76! The Pipistrel Alpha trainer is a great little plane for learning and skill development. Kudos to the team at Right Rudder for the encouragement, support, and training I needed to make my dream come true!
